Today’s guest blogger is my granddaughter, Hannah. She’s 8, and lately told me that she’s interested in taking her “photography to the next level.” I am not entirely sure what that means to a third grader, but I took it as invitation to take her out on a photo walk.
She likes reflections, and found this one on her own. In fact, I didn’t even know she’d made the shot until I downloaded the images. And she got that little white feather in the shot!
So, let’s all welcome Hannah to blogging, and to that “next level.”

Yay Hannah! It’s a very good thing to carry a camera and use it from a young age. I’m looking forward to seeing more.
Thanks, Ehpem. I will let Hannah know about your comment. And I hope she maintains her interest in photography.
Welcome, Hannah! I hope you keep having fun with your photography—and your grandma.
Thanks, Linda. I’ll pass your comment along to Hannah! We have good times, and I’m so happy she lives in the same town I do!
Go Hannah!
I shared your message with Hannah, who was VERY impressed that you commented all the way from Australia! Thanks for making her day.
The joys of the internet. 🙂
I’m not certain what “the next level” is for an 8 year old but this is a pretty good level to be at right now. Nice work, Hanna.
Yeah, I don’t even know what “the next level” means for me, and I am significantly older than 8!
I think she did a stellar job with the reflection and feather, and she’s happy that people are commenting on the blog. Thanks for helping make her day, Ken!
Creativity runs in the blood. You couldn’t have made her do it. But she shares your genes. Bravo Hannah ! And what is the level next to ‘the next level’? you are going there.
There’s a lot of creativity in her family – there’s no way she’ll escape it!
